700,000 Strong. Thank you for joining us and standing up for women’s rights and for the planet!

This weekend, at least 700,000 Angelenos joined together in solidarity for equal rights, equal protection, and environmental justice.  Boosted with a fierce urgency of love, in one of the largest protests in the city’s history, peace and nonviolence reigned.  (The LAPD did not make a single arrest.)  Friendly energy and patience won out as people had to overcome hour-long waits at Metro stops, 150% surge pricing for ride-share, and many other obstacles.  What a spirit to march together in L.A. and next into political action!
For those unable to make it check out this incredible footage from the LA times. And hear from our own Steve Lopez about the impact of the march and the new president, and the danger of “Alternative facts.
