Thanks to the Los Angeles County Supervisors and Sheila Kuehl’s leadership, Los Angeles Community Choice Energy is moving ahead. The organizing by South Bay Clean Power kick-started and informed the effort to create a local, public energy provider. Santa Monica is exploring whether to be a part of the County’s or SBCP’s entity or establish its independent initiative to make sustainable, green renewable energies vast and typical as soon as possible. With a democratic venture, having 100% renewable energy is now the reality.
