On Friday, April 21, Britain experienced its first day without coal since the Industrial Revolution, Year after year, month after month, now day after day, reliance on coal is falling. Fossil free days cannot come fast enough as the world’s CO2 emissions top 410 ppm in the atmosphere, far beyond the 350 ppm that scientists have deemed acceptable for a stable climate to support life and civilization.
