Vehicle emissions are Santa Monica’s largest source of emissions. Sustainable mobility is one of three sectors that is included in the City’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan to reach our goals in emissions reduction by 2030. This webinar will feature City officials that are leading projects to increase access to zero-emissions transportation in Santa Monica, such as the Big Blue Bus EV fleet and charging infrastructure upgrade project and expansion projects for the City’s public EV charging stations. Ariana Vito: Senior Sustainability Analyst in the City of Santa Monica’s Office of Sustainability & the Environment. She leads the implementation of the City’s Climate Action & Adaptation Plan, which focuses on citywide building and transportation decarbonization. She authored the City’s first Electric Vehicle Action Plan, manages the expansion of the City’s public EV charging network, and has developed policies and programs to increase EV charging access in both new and existing buildings.

Eric O’Connor: Assistant Director of Transportation for the City of Santa Monica. He has been a City official for over a decade and joined the Big Blue Bus team in 2016. He is leading the Big Blue Bus zero-emissions fleet transition and advanced EV charging infrastructure upgrade project.
